Job Summary:
A growing manufacturer in a highly regulated industry is seeking a Quality Operations Supervisor to lead quality assurance and quality control activities within a production environment. This position is responsible for supervising quality personnel, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, supporting investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control team members.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and training to employees.
- Establish performance expectations and monitor departmental KPIs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate staffing and workload priorities to meet operational objectives.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure timely release of raw materials and finished products.
- Oversee nonconforming material controls and product investigations.
- Review and approve quality deviations, nonconformances, and out-of-specification findings.
- Support customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain quality oversight of manufacturing operations.
- Assist with validation activities, stability programs, environmental monitoring, equipment calibration, and compliance initiatives.
- Support CAPA, change control, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of quality supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting audits, validations, and quality management systems.
