Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Transport Driver with a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to join our logistics team in Monroe, Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting Borden brand dairy products directly from the production facility to our Monroe, LA branch office. This is a dedicated daily run that offers consistent miles and a predicable schedule, ensuring that you are home every night.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across a local/regional route, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Monitor and manage the trailer's refrigeration unit (reefer) to ensure cargo remains within strict food safety temperature limits throughout the haul.
- Conduct thorough DOT safety inspections of the tractor, trailer and cooling systems before and after every run.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured, verify shipping manifests and manage delivery paperwork accurately upon arrival at the branch.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
