We are seeking a Recruiter with a strong electrical construction background to join our team.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for recruiting skilled electrical professionals for commercial, industrial, airfield lighting, and water/wastewater projects. Because this role evaluates technical qualifications and partners directly with field leadership, candidates must possess hands-on electrical industry experience through previous work as an electrician, electrical engineer, or other electrical construction roles.
The Recruiter will develop talent pipelines, identify qualified candidates, and support hiring efforts to ensure Atlantic Electric continues to attract top talent across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Source, recruit, and engage qualified electricians, foremen, superintendents, project managers, and other electrical construction professionals.
- Evaluate candidates' technical qualifications, electrical experience, certifications, and licensing.
- Partner with Human Resources to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Build candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, trade schools, industry associations, career fairs, and direct outreach.
- Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process from initial contact through onboarding.
- Maintain applicant tracking system records and recruiting documentation.
- Represent Atlantic Electric at recruiting events and industry functions.
- Support additional Human Resources and recruiting initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous hands-on experience in the electrical industry is required. Experience as a commercial or industrial electrician, electrical engineer, electrical foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, or similar electrical construction role is required.
- Previous recruiting, talent acquisition, or hiring experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods, terminology, certifications, and career paths.
- Ability to accurately evaluate technical qualifications and field experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
