Position Overview
We are a well-established retail flooring showroom serving the Toledo area and are seeking a Flooring Sales Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working directly with customers, delivering thoughtful design solutions, and closing high-quality retail sales.
You will guide customers through flooring selections while providing a polished, consultative experience through the entire sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a retail showroom environment
- Consult with customers on flooring selections that fit their style, space, and budget
- Sell hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile, laminate, and carpet
- Present products confidently and professionally
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
- Follow up on active projects, quotes, and customer inquiries
- Close sales and build long-term customer relationships
- Coordinate with install teams to support successful installations
Qualifications
- Sales experience in flooring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach
- Comfortable working with pricing, measurements, and product specifications
- Organized, dependable, and motivated to perform
- Design experience is a plus, but not required
