Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to meet dietary needs and preferences
- Prepare food items following established recipes, safety standards, and quality guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support catering events and serve meals with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Maintain accurate records of food handling procedures and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences
Experience
- Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is highly preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety management, and safety standards in production environments
- Skilled in food handling techniques including slicing, knife skills, and meal assembly
- Experience in catering or large-scale food service environments is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices in a culinary setting
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
