Event Coordinator / Guest Experience Ambassador
Mama’s Greek Cuisine – Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks
Mama’s Greek Cuisine, a well-established restaurant located at the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, is seeking an outgoing and professional individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator / Guest Experience Ambassador.
This position plays an important role in helping generate foot traffic to the restaurant by engaging with visitors, promoting our lunch specials and daily promotions, and creating a welcoming first impression for guests visiting the Sponge Docks.
The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, is confident speaking with tourists and locals, and understands how to promote a lively dining experience.
Compensation
$14-15 per hour
Schedule
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Potential for additional hours depending on foot traffic, weekends, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Clock in at 10:50 AM, collect menus, and be assigned a designated promotional area or walk the plaza at the Sponge Docks
- Greet visitors and distribute menus while professionally representing Mama’s Greek Cuisine
- Escort interested guests to the restaurant while explaining menu offerings and promotions
- Promote the restaurant’s $16.95 lunch specials and explain how the offer works
- Encourage guests to take advantage of our daily specials and dine with us
- Promote current guest incentives including free saganaki cheese with the purchase of two entrées and 2-for-1 drink specials
- Create a positive, welcoming first impression for guests visiting the area
Qualifications
- Friendly, confident, and outgoing personality
- Professional and presentable appearance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comfortably approach and engage with new people
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work outdoors and interact with tourists and local visitors
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
