Job Summary:
Accountable for sales and operations at our Odessa, Texas facility by performing the following duties personally or through direct reports.
Essential Duties:
- Develops and maintains business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image for the assigned district.
- Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
- Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Provides guidance to the development of a process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
- Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, including drilling contractors and operators.
- Develop new customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional services or parts sales.
- Identify opportunities for repair services, recertification work and parts sales.
- Follow up on quotes and close sales opportunities.
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact for job scope, status and timelines.
- Coordinate customer requirements related to inspections, documentation and delivery.
- Communicate customer needs and expectations.
- Support pricing discussions and service recommendations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in oilfield equipment manufacturing, BOP service and repair, or a related industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing facility operations, including production, service, inventory, quality, and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of blowout preventers (BOPs), pressure control equipment, aftermarket service, and spare parts operations preferred.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
- Experience developing customer relationshps and supporting business development and aftermarket sales growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development sills with the ability to build a high-performing workforce.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/business management systems.
- Ability to travel as needed to support customers, field service operations, and business development activities.
