American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and critical care drip experience across a multi-facility health system in Iowa and Illinois.

Emergency Department (ED) setting across multiple facilities with varying trauma designations, including Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 trauma centers
-
Patient population includes critical and emergent cases requiring vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation drips
-
Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Summer holiday coverage required: travelers must work 1–2 of 3 (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

Winter holiday coverage required: travelers must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Active IA RN license required; for IL facility placements, an active IL RN license is also required at time of consideration (if Iowa license is not active, proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license is required during compliance)

Compact RN license accepted

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC

Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required

At least 1 completed travel nursing contract required

Experience with critical and emergency IV drips including pressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedation required

Epic EMR experience required

Driver's license required

One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within 2 years of most recent employment or contract required

Skills checklist completed within the past year required

Candidates must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate

Candidates who have been employed by this health system within the past 12 months are not eligible
-
RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the Christmas/New Year's period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
