Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders efficiently
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, ensuring proper change is given
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food prep zones in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and ensuring the restaurant remains tidy throughout your shift
- Support team members with basic kitchen tasks such as food preparation, packaging, and restocking supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals
- Experience with cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in a café or grocery store setting is highly desirable
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and serve customers promptly
