Dumpster Dudez of St. Johns is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Part-Time Roll-Off Driver to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent weekend work, with opportunities for additional weekday and after-hours shifts. As the face of Dumpster Dudez, you'll safely deliver and retrieve roll-off dumpsters throughout St. Johns County while providing exceptional customer service. Schedule
- Consistent availability on Saturdays and Sundays is required.
- Weekend hours are based on scheduled customer deliveries and pickups rather than a guaranteed fixed shift.
- When routes are lighter, responsibilities may include washing and fueling the truck, transporting the truck for scheduled maintenance, performing routine inspections, organizing equipment, and assisting with other operational tasks.
- Occasional weekday coverage is available when our full-time driver is unavailable.
- Additional evening or after-hours deliveries may be available as business demands.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a roll-off hook-lift truck to deliver and retrieve dumpsters throughout St. Johns County.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Safely secure, transport, and unload dumpsters while protecting customer property, including driveways, landscaping, and surrounding structures.
- Navigate residential neighborhoods, commercial properties, and construction sites safely and professionally.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, route updates, and customer requests.
- Accurately complete delivery and pickup information using company software and mobile devices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional-looking truck.
- Follow all applicable DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Represent Dumpster Dudez professionally by providing friendly, reliable customer service at every stop.
- Assist with routine truck maintenance, washing, fueling, and general equipment care as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- CDL is not required.
- Experience operating medium-duty trucks, box trucks, tow trucks, delivery trucks, landscape trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
- Comfortable backing trailers and maneuvering larger vehicles in residential neighborhoods and tight spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida's heat, rain, and changing weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
