Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring timely delivery to maintain freshness and presentation.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables promptly to optimize guest flow.
- Handle all dishwashing duties using commercial dishwashers or manual cleaning techniques, maintaining sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, pots, and dishware following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Support food safety protocols by properly handling food items during service and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning of utensils, equipment, and surfaces.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate service flow and address guest needs efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for understanding order processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while providing excellent in-person customer service.
- Knowledge of culinary operations or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with precision.
- Enthusiasm for hospitality and guest services, with a positive attitude that energizes team interactions.
