Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient inventory flow, and supporting warehouse operations. This position plays a key role in preventing shortages, minimizing overstock, and maintaining data integrity within inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide analysis on stock levels, usage trends, and variances.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of products in the warehouse.
- Support periodic physical inventory counts.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification a plus (training provided if needed).
Work Hours
Day shift starting at 6:00 AM Monday - Friday. Weekend shifts also available. Must be flexible and able to work overtime as necessary. Work schedule may vary.
