Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Location: Southfield, MI
Shift: Nights (7p-7:30a)
Pay Rate: $58/hour
Duties:
- Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
- Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned.
- Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately documents all aspects of patient care.
- Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.
- Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Experience:
- 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
- Candidates that have neonatal intensive care experience would be a plus but it is not required.
- Candidates that have experience working in a Trauma Level 2 facility would be a plus but it is not required.
Job Requirements:
- Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
- Current RT licensure
- Current ARRT or NBRC registration
- Current BLS Certification from AHA
