Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Aisle Master Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This pivotal role involves operating advanced forklift equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring seamless materials handling operations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment aligned with OSHA standards and industry best practices.
Duties
- Operate a range of forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and manual counting to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Execute order picking with precision, utilizing equipment like <PERSON> pickers and order picker trucks to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by loading and unloading goods while adhering to safety standards in production.
- Implement heavy lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injuries during material movement.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall warehouse operations.
- Follow OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols diligently to uphold a secure working environment.
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as cycle counts, stock replenishment, and discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, repairs, and inventory movements for accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating various forklift types including reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload equipment within a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technologies for logistics, and inventory control procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards in production environments and OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
- Demonstrated skills in materials handling, manual lifting techniques, and heavy equipment repair basics.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged operation of heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and materials handling best practices.
