Job Summary
J&A Signs is hiring a Sales / Project Manager for commercial signage and lighting projects. This is a sales-first role that includes prospecting, client follow-up, site visits, quoting, and project coordination after the sale. The right candidate must be proactive, organized, comfortable generating new business, and able to manage commercial signage opportunities from first contact through completion. Base salary plus commission.
Duties
- Generate new business through B2B outreach, calls, emails, site visits, networking, and follow-up.
- Respond to incoming leads, quote requests, and client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Build relationships with general contractors, facility managers, property managers, business owners, and existing clients.
- Consult with clients on signage needs, design direction, materials, timelines, and practical solutions.
- Review artwork, photos, specifications, drawings, and project information to help prepare accurate estimates.
- Schedule site surveys, collect photos and measurements, and gather project details as needed.
- Prepare, send, and follow up on quotes and proposals until each opportunity is won, lost, or placed on hold.
- Maintain accurate sales tracking, pipeline updates, follow-up notes, and opportunity status.
- After a project is approved, coordinate with design, fabrication, production, and installation teams to help complete the job successfully.
- Monitor project progress, communicate updates, and help resolve issues quickly to meet deadlines.
- Identify scope changes, additional work, or client-requested revisions and communicate them before work proceeds.
- Provide professional communication and customer service from first inquiry through project completion.
Requirements

- Sales, business development, project management, construction, signage, or B2B experience preferred
- Must be comfortable prospecting and generating new business
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to take photos, gather project details, and communicate clearly with internal teams
- Ability to manage follow-ups, quotes, and project details
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience with signage, construction, facility services, property management, or commercial services is a strong plus.
Compensation
This position offers a base salary plus commission.
Compensation includes:
- Base salary: $42,000 – $50,000 per year, depending on experience
- Commission on collected sales
- Commission is paid according to company policy after customer payment is received.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
