We focus on supporting recovery, bonding, and education during the remainder of the hospital stay while preparing families for a safe discharge home.

Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical examination, vital sign monitoring, and detailed history collection, for postpartum and neonatals.
Promptly recognize and report critical changes in patient status to the appropriate physician or advanced practice provider.
Collaborate effectively as a core member of the interdisciplinary team.
Provide clear, concise, and accurate handoff communication during patient transfers, shift changes, and between care teams.
Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during high-stress, crisis, and traumatic situations.
Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights are respected and care decisions reflect the patient's best interests and wishes.
