Duties
- Lead and deliver engaging evening classes covering a wide range of cosmetology topics including skincare, hair styling, makeup application, nail care, and aesthetic treatments
- Supervise and mentor students during practical sessions to ensure safe practices and skill development in areas such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, and laser treatments
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to facilitate effective adult education and hands-on learning experiences
- Monitor student progress through assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs to promote mastery of techniques
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning while adhering to health and safety regulations in all practical activities
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance program offerings and stay current with industry trends such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and aesthetic laser treatments
- Assist in coordinating student supervision during clinic hours and special events to ensure professional conduct and excellent customer service
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including skincare, massage therapy, hair coloring, hair threading, facials, makeup application, nail care, and esthetic treatments
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in salon operations and client services
- Exceptional teaching abilities with experience in adult education, lesson planning, classroom management, and student mentoring
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures and aesthetic treatments
- Skilled in various techniques such as hair styling, hair extensions, barbering, dermabrasion, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and facial treatments
- Ability to supervise students effectively while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts and industry best practices
