We are seeking a versatile, hands-on Programmer Analyst who brings genuine enthusiasm for experimentation to our research and calibration team. This role focuses on writing functional automation scripts, designing custom hardware, and performing data analysis to ensure that our experimental results and product information are accurate and dependable.
Responsibilities:
- Automate & Analyze: Develop custom instrument control, data analysis automation, and data acquisition systems using LabVIEW and Python.
- Design & Model: Use 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.) to design custom fixtures for experimentation and product prototypes.
- Data Analysis & Quality: Analyze experimental datasets ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Build & Develop: Work hands-on with hardware, including assembly, soldering, and troubleshooting basic circuitry and instrumentation.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with scientists and technicians to turn ideas into successful experiments and products.
Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in Python, LabVIEW, and CAD software.
- Data Analyst Skillset: Strong proficiency in Excel with the ability and willingness to learn advanced scientific graphing and analysis programs like Origin Lab or Igor Pro.
- A strong foundation in basic physics and engineering principles.
- Excellent firsthand laboratory skills, specifically soldering and wiring.
- A natural curiosity and passion for iterative testing, debugging, data integrity, and physical problem-solving.
Preferences:
· Experience with cryogenics (liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Helium etc.)
· Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) Systems- 4-wire measurements of resistance and voltage etc.
Education: Bachelor' degree in computer science or Engineering is a plus!
Pay: $65,956.30 - $79,431.25 per year
