Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 Hourly
The North Brooklyn YMCA is seeking a Youth Coach/Trainer who will be responsible for leading a group or team of children/teens and teaching them progressive skill development in a designated sport. The Youth Coach/Trainer will promote the enjoyment of sports while improving physical competence, developing confidence, teaching healthy competition, and skill development. The overall major functions of the Youth Coach/Trainer also include:
- Provide a fun, safe, and positive experience for all participants.
- Demonstrate strong service and hospitality with all constituents, including, but not limited to, program participants and parents/guardians.
- Create an all-inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Teach progressive lessons and provide opportunities to demonstrate the skills learned.
- Encourage a lifetime of participation in sports and physical activity.
- Coach games that allow for equal playing time.
- Be responsible for the team's equipment.
- Work to establish and improve group unity and spirit.
- Be available on Saturday evenings for the program.
- Embody the YMCA Core Values.
