VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
ABOUT OUR COMPANY:
We are a fast growing small animal, single doctor practice providing medical and surgical care and services to Phoenix, Arizona and the surrounding communities. We provide comprehensive individualized medical and surgical care to our patients. We are not “one size fits all”. We take the lifestyle and personal beliefs of our pet parents very seriously and we cooperate with them to create the best health care program for their pet.
YOUR MISSION:
You will be expected to learn from our lead technician how to assist the doctor with up to 30 appointments and up to 3 surgical and anesthetic procedures per day. Basic knowledge of core vaccinations protocols and anesthetic monitoring is required. You will mostly be working with dogs and cats.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of veterinary technician experience in a veterinary clinic setting.
Must be able to work hard and handle large patient volumes.
You must be a master in the English language (written and spoken)
You must have strong computer and typing skills
Spanish language fluency is desired but not required
REQUIRED PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be willing to work with a team.
Must be willing to work and learn from a senior technician.
Must have strong communication skills.
Must be dedicated to help pets and their parents
Must be performance driven and be able to get the job done.
SCHEDULE EXPECATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
Our clinic operates 5 days per week. Shifts will consists of 4 to 5 days per week.
OFFERED SALARY & OTHER COMPENSATIONS:
Based on your experience and performance records, we offer a very attractive compensation package, including an hourly salary of $19-$22/ hour plus bonuses earned based on the clinic’s overall production. We also offer allowances for continuing education for those who carry a veterinary technician license.
