Job Description:
MicroLink Devices, a manufacturer of solar cells and transistors for wireless communications, is seeking to fill a 1st Shift Production Operator. This is an entry-level position. The Production Operator’s primary responsibility will be to process semiconductor wafers according to product specifications. The position requires operation in a clean room environment 90% of work time. The successful candidate must be able to follow established safety rules and procedures for working in a clean room.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to pick up and manipulate small parts with a vacuum handling tool and tweezers
- Ability to work with and around industrial solvents and cleaners
- Understanding and execution of process specifications
- Measurement of wafer products
- Data entry
- Maintaining a clean work area
Requirements:
- Educational/Work Experience (one of the following): High School diploma with +2 years relevant work experience, Associate’s degree or relevant Trade School certification
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
- Must be able to follow process specifications
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate observations clearly
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
- Must work first shift (6am-2pm)
- Job offer will be contingent upon completing a successful limited background investigation
- Must be eligible to work in the US, no sponsorship provided for this position
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs

Located in the northern Chicago suburbs, MicroLink has an attractive and pleasant working environment. The base pay range for this role is between $75,000 to $115,000 annually. MicroLink considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Job offers for this position will be within the above pay range based on these factors.
