About This Role
We’re looking for a caring and qualified individual to join our team as our Kitchen Manager. The kitchen manager cooks center meals as well as managies all aspects of the kitchen. This role supports all children in our child care center, infants through school age children.
What You'll Do
Menu Planning according to dietary guidelines and accommodating individual dietary needs

Meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack

Maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe

Food safety compliance measures, including proper food handling, storage and sanitation

Inventory management of food and meal supplies, placing weekly orders
-
Maintain purchase orders, meal documentation, and submit claims
-
Oversee and ensure requirements are met for CACFP compliance
-
Operate in an environment based on teamwork

Establish a partnership with parents through effective communication

To provide and accept honest, routine feedback that is caring and helpful.

Nice To Haves

Age 18 yrs+ preferred
-
6 Months of experience in a licensed child care, but will train the right person
-
Experience in a service kitchen setting

Experience with CACFP program and compliance

Serv Safe Food Protection Manager Certification
