HudsonWay Immersion School seeks a dedicated and skilled K / 1 English Teacher to support our youngest learners. This role provides Language Arts instruction to Kindergarten and Grade 1 students.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of early childhood development and a love for teaching early literacy.
Key responsibilities:
● Implement developmentally appropriate ELA instruction tailored to individual student needs
● Apply early intervention strategies as needed to support student growth
● Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes strong behavioral expectations
● Maintain accurate student records in compliance with school policies and regulations
● Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practice
Qualifications:
● Fluent in spoken and written English
● Pre K –3 or Elementary Education Teaching Certification
● Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pre K –3 or Elementary Education (required)
● Minimum of 3–4 years of classroom experience with Pre-K or early elementary students
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with all applicable regulations
● Capacity to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the school day
● Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
