Qualifications:
- Current New York State Speech-Language Pathology License (NY SLP License)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility
- Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certification (TSSLD)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, though not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of therapy, student progress, and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to guide service plans
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
