Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Mill Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming languages such as Mazatrol and Mastercam
software will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. Duties
- Develop and modify CNC programs for milling machines to ensure precise machining operations.
- Set up CNC milling machines, including installing tooling, calibrating machines, and verifying machine parameters before production runs.
- Operate CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance while adhering to blueprint specifications, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other mechanical tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions to produce complex components accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment; troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members on materials handling, fabrication processes, tooling selection, and assembly line integration to optimize productivity.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing or factory setting with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages like Mazatrol.
- Familiarity with Mazatrol controls or similar CNC control systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as Mastercam or similar programs for designing or reviewing parts.
- Hands-on experience with CAM programming software for creating efficient toolpaths.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling setup, and materials handling.
- Prior experience working with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety protocols related to machinery operation.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; factory experience is preferred for understanding manufacturing workflows. Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
