Job Description:
As a Weekend Semi Truck & Trailer Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of semi trucks and trailers. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and conducting repairs to ensure that our vehicles are always ready for the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on semi trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and other critical components.
- Replace parts, including tires, belts, and brake pads.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
Schedule:
- Friday evening (start time flexible)
- Saturday (full day)
- Possible Sunday shifts depending on workload and urgency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with semi trucks and trailers.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- A valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus, but not required).
- Own tools are required.
- Ability to work weekends with a flexible schedule.
