Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and observe participants for changes in behavior or health status, documenting vital signs and participant observations accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Administer medications and follow care plans meticulously to ensure proper medication management and adherence to prescribed treatments
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times, ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms and common areas
- Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures to respond effectively during incidents or health crises
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques such as vital signs monitoring, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and hospice care
- Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and creating or following care plans
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in a compassionate manner
- Experience performing heavy lifting or assisting with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts is advantageous
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Previous roles involving social work or long-term care provide valuable insight into comprehensive resident support

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
