We are currently seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join our growing commercial insurance team. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial insurance professional who is motivated, relationship-focused, and driven to grow a book of business while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
This is a sales-focused role that combines business development, account management, remarketing, and strategic client service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys problem-solving, building connections within the community, and helping businesses protect what they have worked hard to build.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a commercial insurance book of business through referrals, networking, cross-selling, and relationship development
- Manage warm leads and prospect opportunities in a timely and professional manner
- Quote, market, rewrite, and remarket commercial insurance policies across multiple carriers
- Review policies and coverage needs with business clients and provide strategic insurance recommendations
- Conduct account reviews to help ensure clients’ coverage evolves with their business operations and exposures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier representatives, and community contacts
- Collaborate with underwriters regarding risk evaluation, coverage placement, and policy strategy
- Support agency retention efforts through proactive communication and exceptional client service
- Maintain accurate documentation and activity within the agency management system
- Participate in networking events, community involvement opportunities, and client meetings both in and outside the office
- Work collaboratively with the commercial lines team and agency leadership to support long-term growth goals
What We’re Looking For
- Commercial insurance experience required
- Current New York State Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred
- Independent commercial account handling experience preferred
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage priorities independently
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze client exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
- Comfortable learning and using technology, carrier systems, and agency management software
- Experience with Microsoft Office and general office technology

Schedule & Location
- Full-time position with expectation of approximately 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- In-office work with flexibility for client meetings, networking events, and community involvement
- Applicants should be able to reliably commute to Bloomfield, NY
