Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all food handling complies with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and assembling menu items
- Greet guests warmly in person, provide attentive service, and address any special dietary needs or requests
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Support catering or banquet setups when required, ensuring timely delivery of breakfast services for events or meetings
- Handle weight-based food portions with precision to maintain consistency and minimize waste
- Uphold high standards of food safety management throughout all stages of food handling and service
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment confidently and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor during in-person interactions
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management tasks
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions accurately
- Experience with cleaning protocols and sanitizing procedures in food environments
- Knowledge of dietary accommodations and catering requirements is advantageous
- Ability to lift weights safely in accordance with workplace standards; manual handling experience preferred
- Previous barista experience or beverage preparation skills are beneficial for serving hot drinks with finesse
- A background in culinary arts or food industry roles enhances your ability to excel in this position
