Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bench Ultrasound Probe Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining ultrasound probes to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will contribute to the quality and efficiency of our ultrasound equipment, ultimately enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities
o Perform thorough diagnostics on ultrasound probes to identify issues.
o Repair or replace defective components, including cases, membranes, cables, connectors, and transducers.
o Conduct functional tests and imaging on repaired probes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
o Document and report testing results accurately.
o Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound probes and related equipment.
o Keep records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory of parts.
o Assist in providing technical support and guidance to customers regarding probe maintenance and care.
o Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding repair status and timelines.
o Follow established protocols and quality control measures to maintain high repair standards.
o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance repair processes.
Qualifications
o Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound probe repair or a similar technical role.
o Familiarity with ultrasound technology and repair processes is highly desirable.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Manual Dexterity: Demonstrates skillful and precise use of hands to perform tasks.
o Hand-Eye Coordination: Exhibits excellent coordination between visual perception and hand movements.
o Craftsmanship: Displays a high level of skill in hands-on tasks, showcasing attention to detail and quality.
o Practical Skills: Proficient in using tools and equipment effectively for various tasks.
o Mechanical Aptitude: Shows an understanding of how to work with mechanical components
o Tactile Sensitivity: Possesses the ability to feel and manipulate objects with precision.
o
o Relevant certifications in biomedical equipment repair or ultrasound technology are a plus.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a bench repair environment.
- Requires handling delicate equipment, including microscope
- 8 am to 5 PM with 1 hour lunch
