We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Hot Food Cook / Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot food items such as braised, blanched or poached, and oven roasted cooked dishes following established recipes and safety standards.
- Assist with prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times.
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens and food processors.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations.
- Support high-volume food production while adhering to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely, flavorful meals that satisfy diverse customer tastes.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food industry practices such as food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and high-volume production.
- Hands-on experience with cooking techniques including braised, blanched, poached, oven roasted dishes and food preparation.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment are important for efficiency.
- Experience in catering settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- A passion for cooking combined with a commitment to food safety and recipe adherence will help you succeed in this role.
