American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and 2 years of travel experience.

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

Care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
-
Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Minimum of 2 years of L&D nursing experience required

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred

Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) only

Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments

Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
-
Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration

Returning travelers may extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying

Compliance documentation and onboarding requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates are strictly enforced
