**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and associated systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
In addition to diesel tech work, there will be row crop farming duties during busy seasons like Spring and Fall.
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
- Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Fabricate and assemble custom parts and equipment as needed
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move vehicles and equipment
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient and effective service
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
**Requirements**
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or in a related field
- Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and vehicles
- Basic knowledge of tractor-trailers and their associated systems
- Ability to assemble and disassemble components as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, bonus for valid CDL but not required
