Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and product information to effectively sell items.
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.
- Provide support to customers by answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Strong selling skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in grocery store settings.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for inventory management and sales analysis.
- Ability to supervise and mentor new staff as needed.
