Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on production lines and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work, with experience reading schematics and working with low and high voltage systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of troubleshooting complex electrical issues to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on production lines using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately perform wiring and system modifications.
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical components in accordance with NEC standards and safety protocols.
- Perform low voltage and high voltage wiring tasks, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Assist in renovation projects, construction site work, and upgrades involving electrical systems.
- Use schematics to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards including NEC guidelines and local codes.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage wiring, schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical issues on complex machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations.
- Knowledge of NEC standards, blueprint reading, frame carpentry, maintenance person skills, and general construction practices is advantageous.
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing settings preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems as needed.
