We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with proper food safety practices.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including proper manual handling of heavy items and cleaning supplies.
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards by practicing safe lifting techniques and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas.
- Assist in the maintenance of kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support food handling procedures during busy service periods, ensuring compliance with food safety management standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially with dishwashing or kitchen sanitation roles.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic culinary tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff during high-pressure situations.
