Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs provides comprehensive youth education and enrichment programming for K–12 youth across our community. Our programs create safe, supportive spaces where young people can learn, explore interests, develop relationships, and participate in meaningful experiences beyond the school day. Programming is offered across five key areas: Art; Education; Health & Wellness; Leadership & Service; and Sports, Esports & Recreation. Youth participate in academic support and enrichment, STEM and educational activities, creative arts, physical activity and wellness opportunities, leadership development, community service, and recreational programming. Programs are designed to meet youth at different ages and developmental stages, with opportunities for both elementary and secondary youth. AmeriCorps members support the delivery of high-quality programming by building positive relationships with youth, facilitating activities, assisting with academic and enrichment experiences, encouraging participation, and helping create an engaging and inclusive club environment. Members work alongside Club staff to provide consistent support and positive role models for youth while gaining experience in youth development, education, leadership, and community service.
