Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment for students, guiding their development, and implementing effective teaching strategies. This position requires a strong foundation in early childhood education and the ability to engage with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional methods and engage students.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to support the individual needs of each child.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques.
- Provide support for children with special needs, including those requiring behavioral health interventions or speech therapy.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and progress reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
- Speak Chinese
- 18 units in Early Childhood Education.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health strategies and special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to implement effective behavior management techniques within the classroom.
- Experience using learning technology to facilitate instruction is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students, including those with diverse learning needs such as deaf education.
