Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will contribute to creating visually stunning environments that meet client specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute painting plans and project specifications
- Perform construction estimating for painting projects by assessing materials needed and labor requirements
- Execute specialized painting tasks including commercial painting, industrial painting, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry, moldings, and perform renovation or remodeling tasks as needed on various construction sites
- Maintain safety standards on-site by using proper equipment and following protocols during all phases of work
Skills
- Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting techniques
- Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Skilled in plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry finishing, and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for material calculations
- Experience with carpentry including trim carpentry and frame carpentry; handyman experience is a plus
- Knowledge of industrial painting methods and fixture installation techniques
- Ability to perform renovation work involving restoration projects or remodeling efforts
- Understanding of safety procedures related to construction site experience including welding when applicable
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality standards
