Director of Rehabilitation - Advanced Rehab and Healthcare of Garland
Position Overview
Advanced Rehab of Garland is seeking an experienced and dedicated rehabilitation professional to serve as Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). The Director of Rehabilitation provides strategic and operational leadership for the therapy department while promoting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exceptional patient outcomes within a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.
The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.
This opportunity is open to licensed professionals in the following disciplines:
Physical Therapy (PT)
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of all rehabilitation services within the facility
Supervise, mentor, and support therapy staff to ensure clinical excellence and professional development
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, Medicare, Medicaid, and PDPM regulations and guidelines
Oversee department operations including staffing, scheduling, productivity management, and resource utilization
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies to enhance quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and retention of rehabilitation personnel
Support organizational goals related to census growth, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
Current and active state licensure as PT, OT, SLP, or PTA
Previous rehabilitation leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care, or post-acute rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
Thorough understanding of PDPM, Medicare Part A and Part B, and rehabilitation management practices
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment
