Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Dry Processing Manager to lead daily operations across our dry production lines. This role oversees product flow from de-racking and jerky cutting through bagging, sealing, and packaging, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Direct and monitor daily dry processing operations, including pre-op checks, production start-up, changeovers, and post-op activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety protocols, PPE, and quality control standards.
- Optimize production schedules, staffing levels, and line efficiency to meet output goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and inventory records (Fishbowl, QC logs, etc.).
- Lead, train, and develop employees; oversee new-hire training and lead development.
- Coordinate with Plant Manager and QC on product testing, specifications, and non-conforming product handling.
- Manage equipment readiness, maintenance reporting, and housekeeping standards.
- Participate in daily management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with systems and production planning tools.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of production efficiency, food safety, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to lead teams, train staff, and enforce compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
