Materials Foreman:
The Materials Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in an efficient manner, supervises and troubleshoots routine issues that occur on the job site, and ensures safety rules are always followed.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

Coordinate tasks with the Operations Manager working according to priorities and plans

Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew, for accurate completion of Field Logs for payroll

Allocate general and daily responsibilities on the worksite for work crew

Supervise and train workers and operators
-
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
-
Plan and schedule plant production according to inventory and sales

Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
-
Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget

Resolve problems when they arise

Report on progress to the Operations Manager and Division Manager as needed
-
As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the successful operation of the quarry
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Proven experience as a materials foreman
-
In-depth knowledge of materials processing procedures, equipment
-
DOT Certificate (acquired within one month after date of hire)

OSHA 10 certification
-
MSHA certification
-
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
-
Ability to effectively communicate with workers on site and report project status and issues that may arise to the Operations Manager

Prior experience with digital record keeping and tracking analytics

Problem-solving abilities
Education and Experience:
-
Valid driver’s license
-
MA Hoisting License
-
3-5 years’ experience in a Foreman role
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures
-
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
