Job Summary:
Johnny Rippas, a fast-paced Tex-Mex food truck, is hiring an experienced Line Cook with strong flat top/grill skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume kitchens, works with urgency, and takes pride in consistent, high-quality execution.
This is not an entry-level position. Prior line experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the flat top/griddle during service
- Cook and assemble Tex-Mex menu items quickly and accurately
- Handle multiple orders in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Assist with food prep and ingredient organization
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of line cook experience (required)
- Flat top / grill experience (strongly preferred)
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving food truck environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work Saturdays is required
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in food trucks, quick-service, or fast-casual kitchens
- Customer service or order-taking experience
- Interest in learning food truck operations or small business management
