Part-Time Kitchen & Food Prep Associate (Morning Shift)
Location: Freeport, ME
Schedule: Part-time | 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We are a small, growing food-focused business in Freeport looking for a reliable, motivated self-starter to join us during an exciting early phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience who is comfortable handling basic food preparation and understands the importance of cleanliness, consistency, and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heating and portioning soups and prepared foods
- Baking items from frozen according to instructions
- Preparing basic sandwiches and simple menu items
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
- Washing dishes, wiping surfaces, and cleaning kitchen floors
- Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assisting with opening duties and light prep for daily service
- Supporting the team as needed as the business grows
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 1–2 years experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment
- Ability to follow recipes and prep instructions accurately
- Current food safety / health certificate (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
- Comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from food prep to cleaning
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
