Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the appropriate supervisory staff, the Imaging Associate, Breast Center, is responsible for assisting patients, medical and technical staff in routine daily activities; for coordinating all image and medical record assembly for report interpretations; and for utilizing RIS for all film tracking and procedure activity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience & Training Required:
- Proven ability to read and write English and follow written instructions.
- Ability to pass medical vocabulary exam administered by Human Resources.
- Basic knowledge of windows environment.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and staff.
- Ability to efficiently and accurately file in terminal digit or alphabetical order.
- Must be able to use basic Window applications, including proficiency with a mouse and bar code reader. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed by lead technologist and/or Manager.
- Ability to calmly handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
- Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.
Level of Physical Demands:
Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
