American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care postpartum experience and active BLS and NRP certifications.

23-bed Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit (3 North) located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Patient ratios are approximately 3–4:1

Day shift staffing includes a charge nurse, 2–3 CNAs, 9–10 RNs on the floor, and 3–4 RNs in the nursery; night shift includes a charge nurse, 9–10 RNs on the floor, and 2–3 RNs in the nursery

EMR system: Meditech/CPN

13-week contract

Active CO or compact RN license required

Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) required; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

Current NRP Advanced 9th Edition card from the American Academy of Pediatrics required

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Postpartum or Mother-Baby experience required

Minimum 2 years of total clinical RN experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing perineal care, and educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding

Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, team-oriented, and strong communicators with providers and staff

Candidates with Mother-Baby unit experience and schedule flexibility are preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
