Job Overview
The AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for completing quality architectural and mechanical assembly drawing packages in support of our design and fabrication operations. This role works closely with Systems Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers across all phases of a project.
Duties
- Work with Systems Designers and Engineers to complete drawing packages.
- Detail structural assemblies and create bills of materials.
- Prepare project cost estimates.
- Coordinate with fabrication team.
- Assist in project management functions.
- Maintain organized drawing histories on company network.
Experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2000 or higher.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Above-average math skills
- Excellent communication and self-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Construction and/or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with steel structures, mezzanines, or similar.
- One (1) or more years working with mezzanines or similar steel structures.
