Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and curiosity in infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, nap time supervision, and hygiene support in accordance with health standards
- Foster a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction
- Monitor each child's progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's milestones and needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with all safety regulations and licensing requirements
- Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children’s actions and promote respectful interactions
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support special education needs or children with disabilities when applicable
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom or daycare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm while caring for young children
- Experience with caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and nurturing emotional well-being
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs
