About us
Spring Theory Pilates is a, fully-equipped boutique Pilates studio in Encinitas built around the idea that Pilates changes lives when it’s taught well. Our mission is to find joy through efficient and effective movement. We listen, we provide space, and we grow; together with our clients and with each other.
We value people, realness, wonder, curiosity, and growth. We take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
We’re looking for a teacher who feels the same way.
The Role
You’ll be teaching small group reformer classes and private sessions, primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This is a per-session position with room to grow as the studio grows with a pay range of 45-70+. Full-time teaching at Spring Theory is 20 hours a week.

- The opportunity to learn from and collaborate with an experienced peer group of teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private and duet Pilates Sessions;
- Teach Small Group (max 6) reformer Pilates classes;

- A genuine interest in the science of movement — anatomy background, personal training experience, or equivalent is a strong plus
- Someone who has worked in hospitality, service, or any environment where the client experience was the whole point
- Warm, professional, and present from the moment you walk in the door
- Willing to be developed . We have a teaching framework, a methodology, and a culture worth investing in
What we expect from you:
- Continuing education through class attendance, workshops, peer research, etc.;
- Maintains a Pilates practice at least weekly;
- Demonstration of effective teaching;
- Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises and modifying repertoire as demanded by unique client bodies and limitations;
