Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing and appliance repairs related to HVAC systems as needed to support property maintenance operations.
- Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication.
- Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports and logs for compliance and future reference.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with strong mechanical knowledge across HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing equipment repair or welding when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
